About Us

MyFootGuy.com was founded in February 2008 by two friends struggling to overcome their own foot problems and coming up with dead ends. My name is Jennifer Dumka, and I am a student at Arizona State University that has hereditary plantar fasciatis. Sam Wheewlright, my close friend and business partner, runs frequently and gets blisters constantly. His father Tom, a triathlete, has achilles tendonitis. It wasn't until Tom discovered the SmoothToe Sock that the three of us realized just what we had stumbled upon and began our mission to help others suffering from similar problems.

Tom, an entrepreneur himself, began to tell us great things about these socks. Sam and I were skeptical at first, because Tom claimed that even after using an ankle brace and numerous other methods to help his achilles tendonitis, these socks were the only thing that eased his pain. I immediately requested a pair myself, to see whether they would help my plantar fasciatis. Even with arch supports for my shoes, my heels were still hurting in the morning and throughout the day. I was surprised at how much I loved the socks from the start - they felt like they were gently squeezing my arches and giving them support, as strange as that sounds. Sam tried the socks for his running blisters, and they subsided quickly. We realized how much these socks could help people immediately. Tom, with his entrepreneurial spirit, suggested that Sam and I begin a business to tell others about these socks as well as other products we have found to work.

Thus, MyFootGuy.com was born.I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to begin introducing more products to our site that we have tested personally. We want to spread the word that foot pain ISN'T something you should 'just deal with.' Foot pain can not only indicate more serious problems with the foot, it is distracting and causes inefficiency on the job, while exercising and while completing everyday tasks.
We'd like to let you know that there is support, and there ARE products that can work for you. There are people who have been exactly where you are now. And they'd like to share what they have learned along the way.

Yours Footfully,
Jenny Dumka & Sam Wheelwright
