Arthritis

Arthritis is an extremely common problem in people of ages 50 and up. However, it's not uncommon for younger people to have it, even toddlers. It's a condition that affects the movement, strength, and stability of your joints.
There are two common types of arthritis: Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid.

Causes

Osteoarthritis is the most common, and it's caused by frequent small force traumas to the joint, infection of the joint, or simply old age.

Rheumatoid Arthritis is referred to as an "autoimmune" disorder, and actually causes the body to attack it's own joint. (pretty crazy!) In it's worst forms, rheumatoid arthritis can be extremely threatening to your daily life. If left untreated till it's advanced stages, it can sometimes permanently immobilize your joints. Or it can just flat out hurt a lot.

note: There are a few other types of arthritis that are more complex, and less common. In any form, you should always seek medical assistance in fighting it.

Treatment

Treating this condition depends on the type of arthritis you have. You should seek a medical professional to help you plan what you need to do in order to help your unique form of arthritis.
Here's what you can expect: From lifestyle changes, forced sport retirement, dietary and medication plans, and in it's worst forms you might need joint replacement surgery (arthroplasty).
Don't be scared to get help though. If it doesn't feel to serious, the most common form of treatment is an exercise plan and dietary changes. However, in almost all cases it will be somewhat painful and require dedication to treat it and prevent worsening pain.
